Board Member Spotlight: Andrea Ewan, Co-Founder & Treasurer | The Community Project

Today, we’re proud to introduce Andrea Ewan, one of the founding members of The Community Project and our current Treasurer. Andrea is a lifelong advocate for giving back and a shining example of servant leadership in Dearborn County and beyond.

By day, Andrea wears many hats—she is the Owner of Ewan Law Office and President of Dearborn Title Insurance, Inc. But her heart for community service runs just as deep as her professional expertise.

What do you love most about our community?

“I’ve always been humbled by the willingness of our community to step in when someone is in need—whether it's a medical emergency or simply a tough time. Our people are generous, thoughtful, and united—from business owners to churches, nonprofits to kids. There’s always someone ready to lend a hand.”

A meaningful moment that shaped her love for this place?

“The outpouring of love and support for Lauren Hill truly opened my eyes to how deeply this community cares for its own.”

Where does her passion for service come from?

“My parents instilled in me the importance of giving—whether it was adopting a family at Christmas, ringing bells for the Salvation Army, or simply making a meal for a grieving neighbor. I was taught that even if I couldn't give money, I could always give my time.”

Something most people don’t know about Andrea?

She co-founded a cookbook club with her friend Kathy Simon—and next year marks 10 years of friendship, fun, and unforgettable meals shared with a group of amazing women.

Guilty pleasure?

Cheese fondue from The Melting Pot. Enough said.

Weekend vibes?

In the summer, she’s either on the golf course or on the water. In the fall and winter, you’ll likely find her traveling or spending time at home with her boyfriend and his kids.

Andrea’s steady hand, generous spirit, and deep love for this community make her an irreplaceable part of The Community Project. We are so thankful for her leadership, wisdom, and heart.
