Board Member Spotlight: Katee Goodpaster- Vice-Treasurer, The Community Project

We’re thrilled to welcome Katee Goodpaster as the newest member of The Community Project’s Board of Directors, serving in the role of Vice-Treasurer. Katee brings with her a wealth of passion, heart, and a true commitment to community—all rooted in the example set by someone very dear to her.


 What inspired her passion for giving back?

“My Grams taught me, by quiet example, how important it is to give—no matter how little you have. She rarely had two nickels to rub together, but she always found ways to help others. Whether it was time, a small gift, or a secret act of kindness, she gave without expecting anything in return. I was often by her side, even as a young child, watching and learning. She was the best role model I could ever ask for—and I try every day to live by her example.”


 Katee’s hope for the future of The Community Project?

“That this grassroots effort continues to grow and thrive—drawing in more people, more help, and more support—until it becomes a permanent and beloved fixture in Dearborn and Ohio Counties.”


 Where you’ll find her on a Saturday afternoon?

Outdoors! Whether it’s camping, boating, hiking, or biking, Katee’s favorite adventures are the ones shared with her grandchildren.


 If she could have dinner with any historical or fictional figure?

Maya Angelou.

“I’d love to talk with her about the life experiences that led to one of her most powerful quotes:

‘I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.’”


Katee’s heartfelt leadership and down-to-earth spirit are already making an impact, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her on our team.
