The Community Project's Christmas With Friends event, organized by Ken Maddin of Aurora, aims to combat holiday loneliness by hosting a free Christmas lunch for those who would otherwise be alone during the festive season. Despite not being able to spend time with his grandchildren this year, Maddin has extended the invitation to the entire community, ensuring that everyone has a reason to celebrate.

The event, scheduled for Monday, December 25th, at the Dearborn Adult Center in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, promises a festive atmosphere with food, Christmas cookies, holiday music, giveaways, and the company of friends of all ages. The initiative has garnered tremendous support from the community, with volunteers offering to bake cookies, donate money, and contribute their time on Christmas Day.

To make the event even more special, the organizers are seeking donations from local businesses and individuals for goody bags that will be distributed to all guests. They are looking for items such as note pads, pens, stress balls, travel cups, candy, packets of oatmeal, candy canes, and personal care items. The bags will be handed out during the Christmas With Friends luncheon, providing an extra touch of holiday joy to those in attendance.

For those interested in attending or contributing to the event, they can RSVP to Ken Maddin at 513.519.0006 or kenmaddin@gmail.com. The success of Christmas With Friends is attributed to the generous donations from the community, showcasing the spirit of giving and compassion during the holiday season.
