DEARBORN COUNTY ANTI-LITTER INITIATIVE: VOLUNTEERS NEED

The 2024 clean-ups kick off with the 11th Annual "Clean Up Logan Day" organized by the Volpenhein Family. This annual event began long before the Dearborn County Anti-Litter Initiative (DCALI) was started!

Below are the details about the Logan Clean-Up provided by the Volpenhein family. Also listed are reminders of future clean-ups organized by DCALI and partners. More details on those will be announced as we get closer to the dates.

Please join the effort!! If interested in any of these, please indicate in comments so we can get an idea of how many people will be able to participate. Questions can also be posed in comments. If other information is needed, please Messenger us through FB. Thank you!

11th Annual “Clean up Logan Day” Saturday, March 9.

It’s that time of year again when the ugly trash starts to show up on the sides of our local roads. This year is the 11th Annual. Adam Volpenhein started this “Clean up Logan” Day by himself in 2013…the following year in 2014 his brothers and a few friends started helping. Like every year, we are in need of more Volunteers & SXS Vehicles. All Volunteers are to meet at Logan Supermart at 8 a.m. We will start at the bottom of Whites Hill and work our way up. We will concentrate on Whites Hill from 8:30-10 a.m. We will then move to North Dearborn Rd and work there from 10 a.m.-12 noon. These roads will be semi-closed while we safely pick up trash… with the help of our local sheriff’s department.

Saturday March 9th, 2024 @8 a.m. (Meet at Logan Supermart)

*** Alternate date is March 16 if March 9 isn’t possible due to weather. Hope to see everyone there! The Volpenhein Family
