During Tri Kappa Week, which took place from February 18 to 24, 2024, chapters of Tri Kappa across the state of Indiana engaged in special service projects aligned with the organization's mission of fostering close, unselfish relationships for the promotion of charity, culture, and education. Tri Kappa, founded on February 22, 1901, has a longstanding commitment to making a positive impact in these areas.
The Tri Kappa Pi Chapter, as part of their contribution to Tri Kappa Week, chose to support the Community Project's Blessing Boxes. These boxes, established in 2021 in response to the increasing homelessness in Dearborn County, are stocked with essential items and are sustained through community support, including donations and mobile food/clothing drives. The strategic placement of these boxes ensures accessibility for those in need.
For Tri Kappa Week, the members of the Pi Chapter collected and donated canned goods, along with a monetary contribution, to support the mission of the Community Project. This initiative not only addresses immediate needs but also contributes to the ongoing efforts to combat homelessness in the community. The generosity and thoughtfulness of the Tri Kappa Pi Chapter were acknowledged by the Community Project, expressing gratitude for the support that will enable them to continue their mission.
